Sylentra is developing the next generation of vertical axis wind turbines — combining electromagnetic levitation with ionic wind technology to generate 1 MW of clean electricity with no mechanical moving parts and virtually zero maintenance.
Our proprietary bio-polymer composite material — 6% the weight of steel, 10x stronger, and fire-resistant to 1,250°C — forms the structural foundation of a turbine built to operate in conditions where conventional wind technology fails.
The integration of ionic wind boundary layer control eliminates aerodynamic drag at the blade surface, dramatically increasing efficiency and enabling deployment in low-wind environments previously considered unsuitable for generation.
Sylentra is currently in active development, with commercial deployment on the horizon.
